It’s now self evident that there is a shortage of highly qualified skilled workers in Canada. This shortage has already impacted Canadian Industry and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. There is no longer an option for Canadian employers but to compete for workers globally. It’s equally self-evident that European and other countries continue to produce skilled workers at higher rates than Canada. Unfortunately, the competition for skilled workers is Global. Lighthouse’s mission is to find the most qualified international workers, vet them, obtain them Canadian journeymen certification and orient them to the requirements of the Canadian workplace.
Lighthouse assists Canadian employers in processing Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications for hiring international workers. A major requirement for hiring an international worker is the ability to provide a positive LMIA to the Canadian Requirement. This requires proof of a national search for the employee(s) you require. Once an employee receives a positive LMIA, the hiring of international skilled workers is guaranteed. Once you retain our services, it’s Lighthouse’s obligation to ensure that your LMIA is approved by the Canadian government.
